The problem
In almost every lab where there is a a microscope, there is a need to document images. But the needs varies largely for different labs and organizations. In the easiest case you probably just want to capture one or a few images, save it to file, and later use them in some kind of report. In the more advanced scenario, you might have requirement to document all samples analyzed, with thousands or even hundred of thousands images per year.
Almost certainly you want to share your images with others and even with other labs or departments in your organization.
Our products can do all the above. This article is to explain which products might suit you best.
PIXARA Enterprise Bundle
Overview
The Enterprise Bundle is our most advanced package.
It includes everything in the Analysis Bundle, plus both the Script editor and the Script engine.
This software is deisgned to be use in all scenarios ranging from simple image documentaion to sophisticated image analysis where you usualy work with high quantities of data and have demanding image analysis requirement.
Using the Script Engine you can either use pre-built script or create you own scripts in our userfriendly Script Builder.
Unlike most other advanced software you do not need to have developer skill or knowledge in programming languages, but some basic knowledge about image analysis is generally required.
Create AND USE powerfull scripts
Create powerfull scripts, or use one of the pre-made application specific scripts, to perform repetetive work much faster.
When developing new scripts, no programming skills are needed, simply drag and drop the available operators into the script. However in order to take the full advantage out of the scripts, some image analysis training is neccessry. Things that our reseller offers.
Simple to use logic
Most script are organized in Capture->Pre-process->Segmentation->After-process->Measure->Report pattern.
Using the script-builder, the opertors are organized in the same fashion, for an easy to use experience.
Capture image
Capture image directly from your microscope, from file or from the database.
USE pre-processing filters
There are multiple filters to wash up your images before processing them. For example, use background correction to even out uneven illumiation, edge detection filter to measure edges, or one of the separation filters to separate objects from each other.
Segment the image
The process of converting your image into measurable objects is called segmenting. There are several vays of segmenting your image, where intensity based segmenting/thresholding is the most common. Convert your image into one or more binary segmented images, for example assign a ferite to red and Perlite to green, and continue to work with the two phases indiviually in the same script.
Post process the segmented object
Perform additional processing on your segmented image, for example filling holes, removing object that touch the border, are to small (noice) or to long (scratches), or do futher object separation.
Measure the image and/or the objects
Perform additional processing on your segmented image, for example filling holes, removing object that touch the border, are to small (noice) or to long (scratches), or do futher object separation.
Create a report
Perform additional processing on your segmented image, for example filling holes, removing object that touch the border, are to small (noice) or to long (scratches), or do futher object separation.
